        Status update:

Work on Phase 3 for this ICD has proceeded in fits and starts over a long period.

A major point of uncertainty has been resolved as part of the DM replan: it is now confirmed that DM will have the capability to return telemetry to the Observatory from the results of DM's analysis of images. This enables the return of WCS and PSF information, via the "Telemetry Gateway" component (in 1.02C.07.06.02).

A recent development has been the tentative agreement to state that the telemetry returned by DM will include a serialization of its native forms for such information, in preference to a TCS-prescribed data structure that DM would have to generate from its internal form. This is predicated on a design concept in which the TCS code receiving and acting on the information will be written, at least in part, in the DM stack framework.

Additional information on past progress in Phase 3 work on this ICD may be found on the Confluence pages:

We anticipate returning to work on this ICD now that the SE model is usable in MagicDraw and when the DM review is complete, targeting Phase 3 completion by the end of DM's F17 cycle.
