      Description

LSE-77 is the ICD for the DM to Base Facility interface. This is an interface defining the physical requirements of DM at the Base Facility. It is an interface between DM and Telescope & Site.

The interface primarily concerns itself with space, power, and cooling requirements for the DM equipment for the Base Center and the Chilean Data Access Center.

The completion of this milestone will reflect the conclusion of an agreement between DM and T&S on the details of the physical requirements, with these details either added to LSE-77 or reflected in other change-controlled documents. In particular, the Base Facility Data Center Design Requirements document, LSE-239 reflects the roll-up of all subsystems' requirements for Base Facility accommodation.

The existing finish date in PMCS for this milestone is 10 August 2016. We need to review how that links to the needs of T&S.

As foreseen in the Description above, the useful requirements information from DM applying to the Base Data Center was all included in the development of LSE-239, culminating in the version released in August 2016.

In hindsight we believe that LSE-77 is no longer relevant and have proposed, in LCR-1004 (2017-06-20), to withdraw it altogether.

Marking this issue as Resolved in light of the de facto shift to LSE-239 for defining this interface, and the proposal to formally withdraw LSE-77.

The issue should be marked as closed when LCR-1004 has been fully implemented.
