As the weekly-release process can take some time (multiple retries, etc.), it has been decided it would be preferable to cut the tag at the end of the work week rather than at the beginning. In order to keep the tag in sync with the calendar week, and not overwriting an existing tag, a one time > 7 day tag interval is required.
