Description
Scripts that call for PSF fitting should handle errors that currently occur when PSF fitting fails, for example as per DM-10791.
Until DM-10791 is fixed and a best-effort PSF is returned in all cases, processing should proceed using the nominal/placeholder PSF, and a bit should be set somewhere to record that this was the case, as well as a warning logged that a PSF-fit-failure exception was handled.
Reviewing for CCB: still quite relevant, the "driver scripts" terminology will soon be outdated. It's a lot of work to do this carefully, and it needs to be done carefully, but it's something we need to make a serious effort at sometime between the retirement of Gen2 and any attempt at regular nightly processing.
