Can't (or shouldn't) open result catalog search from background monitor in time series tool

      Description

      Now that we have long searches jobs in the background monitor, and as the background monitor is available thru other apps, a user can now do searches in one app (IRSAViewer) and open the result in Time series but that doesn't work ( (and that's OK i guess) and fail without explanation.

      I can see different way to solve that and I'm open to other solution. The background monitor could:

      • Show a user friendly meaningful error message.
      • OR it could let the user decide where to send the result: to irsaviewer, times series,etc.?
      • OR e aware of the application where is displayed and disable the catalog display in Time Series.

            Actually, when using "send to background" from Time Series, it won't show result after job done either. Is kind of broken with not user-friendly message.

            Loi is looking at it but I think we might need to disable it for now in Time Series too (apart from API mode: see also PR https://github.com/Caltech-IPAC/firefly/pull/425).

            Just for records, Loi Ly, Xiuqin Wu [X]: The solution implemented was to add a flag that is controlled on the search request and would enable / disable(default) it.

            searches back to not backgroundable by default and only enable the ones we see fit. I'll enable backgrounding for catalog and top level searches in suit
