Kian-Tat Lim Donald Petravick, Andrew Connolly ancient action to be dealt with .. and I am interested to know the answer others ask also (e.g. SAC).

I assume this is an Architecture/Data Facility question, rather than a science one, so I'm removing the dm-sst label and setting the team appropriately.

Hi John, I'm returning the dm-sst label as we use it to designate any issues of interest to the SST. That may involve just being informed or consulted; doesn't necessarily denote responsibility or accountability. Defined at http://ls.st/sst, under "Communications and Meetings".

Are there any updates here? Beth and Eric Bellm are working on a document dealing
with related broker issues and this basic piece of info (how many brokers?) would be
            good to know.

Do we close this ticket now? Presumably things have moved on a bit in 4 years.

LCR 1883 (https://project.lsst.org/groups/ccb/node/3394) created a new DMSR requirement, DMS-REQ-0391, that requires that at least 5 full streams to alert brokers be supported. This does not preclude a decision to support a larger number of brokers.
