In RFC-325 it is mentioned that we need to understand the latency requirements for accessing image products. The RFC mentions the following latencies:
- to display a movie strip in a UI (expected very short latency; ~1-2 or below)
- to deliver scientifically useful postage stamps for subsequent download or batch processing (longer latency ~20-30 seconds, may be acceptable, assuming decent throughput).
This ticket, though, should also include a latency for virtual product generation (maybe different for each virtual product), and a latency for cutouts of pre-existing products such as coadds.
