The integration of logging with xrootd needs to be revisited, for both the czar and the worker, after a discussion with Xrootd devs about API changes. We want to accomplish 2 things:

• Logging from xrootd client should go through the qserv-czar's logger, so it can be saved in the same file and enabled/disabled as a component.
• Logging from the xrootd server may also find a benefit in using our logger as a backend
