The purpose of this ticket is to define the potential additional calibration needs of Special Programs data, which might be significantly more diverse in terms of, e.g., exposure time and/or sky background levels in the case of a a twilight survey of short exposures. Questions include how much additional day time might be needed to obtain raw calibration frames, or the additional computational resources needed to create and/or load calibration frames or catalogs during processing. The goal of this would be to confirm that the DM system prepared to calibrate the diversity of data that might be generated by Special Programs.
The nominal deadline has been set to 1.5 months prior to the expected call for Special Programs white paper proposals, but need not be resolved by then. Additional context for this ticket can be found in Section 4.7 of the DMTN study on DM and Special Programs, available at https://dmtn-065.lsst.io/
