Fix Version/s: None
Component/s: Design Documents
Delete the https://ldm-129.lsst.io site since it is now being maintained as a Word document entirely through DocuShare.
- is triggered by
RFC-424 Request approval of the LSST Data Facility Logical ITC Design document (LDM-129)
LDM-294 is Tex - as long as i am here it will remain tex the ldm-294.lsst.io should remain .. took a while to get it in place
How did it get mixed up with ldm-129 ?? .... which I would prefer not in word but ok if that is how its done.
coincidentally I studiously prune branches .. why does this https://ldm-294.lsst.io/v/index.html show lots of old pruned branches ?? Github shows 3 this has line 23 ...
To quickly answer your question, there are two parts:
- LSST Data Management's policy is not to prune branches. https://developer.lsst.io/processes/workflow.html#merging
- LSST the Docs creates new editions (/v/<slug) when new branches and tags are pushed. But it does not automatically delete these editions if branches are deleted. We could prioritize implementing that. It's related to
DM-9284, which is currently on the backlog.
If you have more questions on this topic, I suggest we move to
ldm-129.lsst.io is deleted (from S3 datastore, LTD Keeper DB, and Route 53).
Please delete 129 and not 294... Did Wil O'Mullane agree with this plan?
