Flowdown performance metrics from OSS to DMSR

    XMLWordPrintable

    Details

      Description

In LCR-924 the LSR performance metrics were flowed down to OSS. These metrics need to appear in LSE-61 so that they can be part of the DM verification plan. It may be that the target values are not as stringent in LSE-61 as they are in LSE-30.

LCR-1344 was filed to partially address this issue. The ability to calculate the performance metrics has been added, as we are still waiting on confirmation from subsystem science team as to exact targets.

DM-14344 deals with work on the cut down performance metrics, rather than the science metrics.

Jeffrey Carlin, Leanne Guy can you confirm that we no longer think it's necessary to move the performance metrics themselves into LSE-61 for verification? There has always been the debate over whether we can show compliance with the metrics at DM acceptance by using precursor data and simulations. We have to show we pass them at system integration but by then LSE-61 is irrelevant. Should I close this ticket as Won't Fix?

Tim Jenness: I agree. At LSE-61 level, we're verifying that DM provides the software to calculate those metrics, and the values are mostly irrelevant for DM acceptance. I would agree with closing this as Won't Fix.
