Description
The file obs_lsstSim/description/focalplanelayout.txt , which is meant to be periodically updated from (BitBucket) phosim_release/data/lsst/focalplanelayout.txt, contains obsolete definitions for the corner rafts.
It specifies the guide sensors as CMOS - they were changed to be CCDs a long time ago - and (if I am understanding the distortion terms correctly, which I may not be) specifies the wavefront sensor offsets as +/- 1mm instead of the LSE-67 baseline of +/- 1.5mm.
These outdated values are also found in the the source file in phosim_release.
I believe that phoSim has been used to generate WFS images for use in tests of the active optics control loop, so presumably the proper offsets have been applied there, but it seems they should also be in the baseline.
It seems important to have the reference design of the Observatory reflected on the master branch of these packages.
Should we close this ticket?
