      We think we aren't actually using this, and we'd kind of like to use lsst.geom to mean something else.

            I've pushed two branches with a start at this, passing off to Russell Owen to finish up (we did those initial changes together, actually).

            I fixed all instance I could find. Jenkins passed (except on MacOS due to a github communication error) https://ci.lsst.codes/job/stack-os-matrix/27632 I plan to wait for RFC-458 to be accepted before getting this reviewed and merged.

            Originally this included removing lsst.geom but that I made that a separate ticket: DM-13790

            You may want to change the titles in the PR to reflect the fact that it only applies to removing skypix now.

            On a related note, I'm curious why there is so much duplicate code in the obs packages?
