      Description

      I have found it pleasantly easy to push FITS binary tables into Firefly.  In starting to play around with plotting, I found that I could easily make a plot, but, of course, the first time I did it, I did it wrong.

      It's possible to delete plots made in the GUI (there's a handy blue 'x' in the top right), but it doesn't seem possible to remove plots pushed using the python bindings.

      It would be nice to be able to do that via the GUI.

          I found that too when I was playing with my notebook, even after I specify it as deletable  when making a plot.  I think it is a bug need to be fixed.

          "charts.defaultDeletable" option is controlling whether the chart is deletable by default.

          When using firefly in JupyterHub tab,  the options defined in slate.html do not seem to be passed to the application.

          I traced it to SlateCmdExt.js:123 :

          this.controlApp= util.startAsAppFromApi(id, props, {});

          The last argument are the options. Since options are empty, the default options are used.

          We probably want to use the options defined in slate.html there, at least for charts:

          MenuItemKeys: {maskOverlay:true},
          catalogSpacialOp: ‘polygonWhenPlotExist’,
          disableDefaultDropDown: true,
          charts: {defaultDeletable: true},
          readoutDefaultPref: {imageMouseReadout2:'zeroIP'}

          I'll have a look next week at verifying the current behavior against recent releases, and then see whether I can get this work scheduled. It seems very light-weight and well worth fixing if it's still a problem.

          Evaluated and will be addressed in the reasonably near future, time permitting.
