This technote will be used as supporting material for an RFC to make CompareWarp the default coaddition algorithm stack-wide.

This is really cool, and the writeup is quite good! I used Preview's markup tool to add comments. Let me know if you have trouble viewing them. The highlighted text is mostly for my own note-taking-as-I-read, but it also shows the bits I honed in on as I was reading, which may or may not be interesting to you. DMTN-080-commented.pdf

Thank you for all helpful comments. I made all changes requested except (1) the flowchart of what checks an artifact candidate goes through and (2) the table/outline of types of coadds we plan to make.

(1) Is a good idea, and MAYBE if I have time to make it tomorrow, I will, but it'll take a few more hours that I don't want to spend at the moment
(2) Would be duplicative with more official docs like ldm-151 and the "flavors of coadds" dmtn-015. I tried to clarify that much.

I'm going to print it out and make one more read though. Do you want to look at it again or can we mark it "reviewed"?

Thank you for working through all my comments, I don't need to look at it again to consider this all set. Thanks also for reminding me DMTN-015 exists; I think I stumbled across it early on and was scared away because it opens a bit like a mathematical proof. It does, however, give a very detailed definition of each flavor of coadd, which is useful. Publish away!
