    XMLWordPrintable

    Details

      Description

The ATCS node on the hardware cluster was not responding to pings.
I rebooted it and it came back but only the 10.0.100.141 port was
      automatically active.

Michael Reuter Dave Mills Andres Anania [X]-I know Andres is out so I don't know who will provide the go ahead. This machine is not reachable from any location. Can we make changes to this machine?

Dave Mills will have to give the OK on this machine as I do not know what use it was under. Dave, do we need it back on the public network for you to make that determination?

Yes, please put it on both networks so I can get to it. I could still not reach it from 10.0.100
even though it's 10.0.100.141 interface was up.
This is probably currently loaded with the "atcs" CSC ie before the name changes.

Joseph Cockrum- You don't need to check with anyone else. We will need to make sure we change the correct interface based on the physical wired connection. This machine is in the "Dave Mills rack" and has an IP on the front bezel.

Dave Mills- David Rathfelder and I took a second look after Joseph Cockrum and I tried some things. I do know that the ifcfg-p4p1 device is not with the other four NICs. It is in the bay of slots. At David's suggestion, we copied em1, and changed the values so it is em2 (chassis port label 2), the UUID, and the IP are 10.0.100.141. We restarted the server and the changes survived and both Internet (aka 140.252.32) and pLAN are working as expected.
