Description
When pointed at a TAP service, if Firefly recognizes that an ObsTAP service is provided (by noting the presence of an ivoa.ObsCore table in the service), or that the user has selected a table which contains ObsCore-standard-compatible data, or (in the future) by using existing or future metadata to note that such tables exist, image-search-specific capabilities should be added to the search UI.
(Future enhancements not on this ticket might extend this capability to the recognition of CAOM2 observation metadata tables and support for searches against them.)
Design work is needed on the UI for this, as well as on the additional search capabilities required.
A child ticket will ask that, as preparation, the existing LSST PDAC legacy portal image search queries be translated to ADQL and that ADQL text made available to the LSST DAX group.
