Re-Implement symmetry in scarlet

    Details

      Description

Nate Lust created a branch during the deblender sprint that included a significantly improved algorithm for symmetrizing scarlet models, along with an improved centering algorithm motivated by Jim Bosch. This ticket is for implementing Nate Lust's code in scarlet master and the LSST stack.

Peter Melchior do you mind reviewing this ticket. I updated Nate Lust's algorithm to work with the current codebase. I think that we still need to think more about how to fit the center of our objects, since Jim Bosch's PSF weighted centroiding algorithm still leaves a dipole in the residual that is the dominant source of error. But that should be saved for another ticket.

          Sure.

We're seeing dipoles even without symmetry, so I'm sure it'll get worse with symmetry. Indeed, we need a fix for it.
