      Description

Following DM-19525, help debug problems with this run, and analyze the results. In particular, understand how it differs from a "standard" ap_pipe rerun with raw data + coadd templates and see if DIASource counts are consistent with those reported in DMTN-021.

The notebook showcasing the main results, including plots and DIA Source counts, is viewable at https://github.com/lsst-dm/ap_pipe-notebooks/blob/tickets/DM-20534/DM-20534-Instcal-Calexp-Ppdb-Compare.ipynb. Maybe something to show at the Monday ap_pipe meeting on my behalf.

Hi Meredith Rawls--could you also include (normalized) histograms for the bad/suspect/saturated/shape flags for the three cases? Otherwise looks good!

Good idea, I added that to the notebook, though I didn't do any normalization. You can see lots of the bad (flagged) objects either have one source, 28 (=Nvisits) sources, or close to 56 (=Nvisits x 2) sources.

Now with the flag histograms you actually wanted  There are way fewer flags for the calexp - calexp run, but I don't think that is necessarily directly indicative of quality.
