    Description

Participation in several recent focussed sprints (namely the Per-CCD Astrometry sprint, DM-19943) inspired several additions and updates to the the `pipe_analysis` scripts. This ticket is to implement those features, including:

      • overplotting the WCSs on the visit level sky plots computed at different processing stages (including raw/initial/sfm/ubercal)
      • plotting the coadd image as a background to the sky plots (in particular to allow for differencing of coadds produced by different processing runs in the compareCoaddAnalysis.py script, but can also be useful as a "quick look" at the image as a persisted png)
      • allow for sky plots to have units of RA/Dec and/or "pixels" (focal plane or tract)
      • add directional arrows on the visit-level focal plane "pixel" plots
      • extra accommodations for non-HSC cameras (DECam, cfht, lsst/DC2)

        Activity

The updates suggested above were implemented on the ticket branch and served their purpose in the DM-19943 sprint.  The branch wasn't merged to master, and need not be since the pipe_analysis repo is in the process of being retired and replaced with analysis_drp, but it can still be used for inspiration for development of analysis_drp if deemed useful for general QAing. Marking as done (but decreasing the SPs a bit).
