      Description

      It would be useful if some of the fakes plotting code was refactored to make the actual plotting bit more easily usable.

          As part of investigating the different deblender options it became apparent that it would be useful to use some of the fakes plotting code more generally. I have included here some plots that were made with the code as part of looking at the deblender.

          Looks good to me. Adds additional generalised functionality and tidies up the exisiting code base. Good to merge!

          Minor comments/typos:
          Line 80: 'catalo1' typo
          Line 341: missing 'and'? (i.e., ...a 2D histogram and collapsed histograms...')
          Line 367: missing final period.
