This ticket is to add support for acronyms and glossaries to reStructuredText documents, initially targeting technotes. There was a prior PR to add functionality directly to lsst-texmf (https://github.com/lsst/lsst-texmf/pull/240). This work is to add functionality as a first-class Sphinx extension delivered through documenteer.

This work will integrate with Sphinx's native acronym and glossary extensions. It will integrate with lsst-texmf on the basis of using data files from lsst-texmf.
