      Description

      We just had an issue with the latex_lsstdoc template (added in DM-25331) when the user entered a linefeed as part of the document title. Since that title is used as the GitHub description, we unexpectedly got an error from the GitHub API.

      This ticket is to fix that specific problem and also check if there are other places where user input validation and cleaning could be applied.
