      Description

We need a migration guide to explain to people what they need to do to switch from gen2 to gen3 butler usage.

Not sure whether this should go in package docs that turn up in pipelines.lsst.io or else a DMTN tech note.

At the stand up yesterday we came to the conclusion that Jim Bosch's notebook on gen3 butler usage is probably sufficient (assuming it's modernized) to count as documentation for talking people through the change in butler usage from a user perspective.

DM-21687 covers how to write pipelines.

Can this ticket link to the notebook? Have we decided that we are going to close this ticket as not being necessary?

No. I was asking if anyone knew where it was. I've completely forgotten about it and I'm upset with my past self for not adding the notebook to this ticket.

Jim Bosch I'm guessing we should close this as won't fix. The time has long passed where people had some gen2 code and wanted to know how to convert it to gen3. In a week we won't have any gen2 code left to look at.

Leanne Guy or Yusra AlSayyad do you have any objection to closing this?
