Nate Lust and Michelle Gower , I've marked you both as official reviewers and currently plan to merge only after you both indicate you're done (though merging to master doesn't mean much for something that's just a proposal anyway). If you don't want to be on the hook for that so you can focus on other priorities, that's fine. And all other watchers and interested parties are of course welcome to comment as well. Jim Bosch added a comment - 27/Jan/21 4:03 PM As we've discussed in a few live meetings, this proposal may contain some useful ideas, but overall it's a dead-end.  I've added a disclaimer to that effect at the beginning of the technote and am merging it to master.
