      Description

Currently the Firefly core and application build string (which is clickable to bring up a more detailed version dialog) is displayed in the lower right corner of most or all Firefly search screens. However, it is not generally available in results screens and, in particular, not visible in the "Slate" interface which is the default target for Python-driven image displays.

Since the latter is the only Firefly screen that many Rubin users regularly encounter, they are often left puzzled about how to reach the version information (generally it can be found through bringing up a search screen).

Please add the version string to Slate. If convenient, add it more uniformly to other search results screens as well, but if that is complicated or controversial (e.g., at IRSA) the priority is to get it into Slate.

I am open to discussion about where on the Slate screen it should go. Please make sure that it is visible even when Firefly is in a smaller-sized tab in the JupyterLab interface, especially when it is in side-by-side subwindows with the notebook. (This means that it may not be possible to have it on the right side of the window.)

Satisfied by current versions of Firefly making the version string and dialog available through the upper-left application logo icon, by hover and click, respectively.

This may need to be revisited if we need to make the Rubin logo be a "return to RSP home page". Perhaps we need a Firefly logo somewhere on the Slate?

Marking as Done; any future work will be a new ticket.
