Is "LSST Stack Installation" page in LSWUG useful?

    Details

      Description

      https://confluence.lsstcorp.org/display/LSWUG/LSST+Stack+Installation
seems to be a subset of
      https://confluence.lsstcorp.org/display/LSWUG/Getting+Started+with+the+LSST+Software+Stack
with significant differences (e.g. no mention of CernVM FS). The former
is only linked from the top page of LSWUG (in the child tree) and from
      https://confluence.lsstcorp.org/display/LSWUG/Using+the+LSST+Stack.

      Should these be reconciled somehow?

The former is a container of all the release-specific pages. Do you want them promoted up?

[and yes, they are redundant - it's not the only example either]

OK, can we shrink the "Getting Started" page by referencing the "Stack Installation" page in the three places that repetitively say "install prereqs/install from source" and by moving the CernVM FS instructions to the "Installation" page?

It's not useful, because it's obsolete.

(Is this an example of Betteridge's Law?)
