      Description

Write a DM technical note describing the algorithmic details and how various parts of the algorithm are implemented. The implementation differs from what was done for the Kilo-Degree Survey, and hence the need for a DMTN.

Thanks for agreeing to review this DMTN, Dan. I'm looking for feedback on the following:

            1. Are there any sections that are unclear and need more/better explanation
            2. Are there sections that should be there but are missing (or vice versa)
            3. Are there any incorrect statements/calculations.

Any other comments are also welcome!

            See comments on the PR.

As for missing sections, I think it could use a brief motivation and/or summary of the (potential) benefits of GAaP. The introduction covers consistent colours pretty well but not so much why GAaP is a preferred solution, and what has been found so far/is expected for Rubin vs with KiDS. Perhaps point to some of your preliminary results?

The changes have improved the DMTN, and will be followed up in DM-33743.

I'm still a bit confused by some of the notation for the pre- and post-seeing apertures, and could use visual examples thereof.

Some of the comments on the impact of various tunable parameters/settings still sound a bit speculative. Granted, you're already testing this out on precursor data, so I'd just suggest to clarify which are purely educated guesses, and which are based on your own work and/or results from KiDS.
