Description
Following on from the DMLT F2F today:
The task is to devise and document a design for the implementation of database tables corresponding to the originally planned Exposure and Visit, harmonized with CAOM2 (and therefore ObsCore) so as to be represented as an extension to that data model.
The design should cover both the schema of these tables, especially making clear how they will be integrated with CAOM2, and the mechanism for creation of these tables, covering, among other things, how pipeline outputs will be ingested and how EFD contents will be associated with exposures and/or visits as appropriate.
The design must address questions of the timing of the creation and availability, both to internal and to external users, of the tables' content.
It should also cover how the data will be made available to users in the RSP, touching on both remote and Portal Aspect access (presumably via TAP) and Python access in the Notebook Aspect.
It is anticipated that work will start on this project after the initial few weeks of DP0.1 user service, i.e., in late July 2021.
