We initially had trouble using Python-based test programs; logevent messages were received, but with no payload. This was under the Boost-Python wrapper version of the code. While Dave looked into this, Steve looked into a Swig Python-C++ interface. We were able to send log events and commands from Python on one system to the appropriate C++ receivers using the Swig interface. Dave was able to discover the issues the Boost-Python problem, and fixed that as well.
