The ticket to improve HTCondor speed for execution butler transfers to each job (DM-32074) had code that depended upon determining from the name whether something was a file or a directory. All tests were done with output values that didn't have a period. The production DC2 reprocessing uses periods in their output names (e.g., 2.2i) and the code decided the execution butler directory was a single file instead of a directory.
