Validate AOS for a rotated camera

    XMLWordPrintable

    Details

      Description

Validate AOS for a rotated camera

      • demonstrate if AOS loop converges when camera is rotated
      • evaluate if issues are due to AOS algorithms or phosim simulation
      • develop work around to test AOS convergence at different rotation angles
      • compare AOS convergence at different rotation angles

In phosim `rotTelPos` command does not fully rotate the camera, but only the spider . The camera is kept at a fixed angle wrt M1M2, and the only thing that rotates due to changing "rotTelPos" is the spider. Phosim is not appropriate for evaluating the impact of rotation and these tests will be postponed until imsim/batoid is validated

Tests completed - phosim does not have the appropriate functionality to evaluate the AOS performance for a rotated camera
