Description
Please consider to bypass the checking of MTMount data in rotator CSC as a new option. Right now, the rotator CSC will put the low-level controller into the Fault state if it can not see the MTMount telemetry. However, sometimes, we may want to bypass this check to test the rotator itself.
For example, verify the rotator trajectory on the real hardware. Although we could fake the MTMount data on summit, this also means we could not run the TMA hardware in the same time on summit. Otherwise, we might break the hardwares. This bypass might be very useful in the component's test, but the normal operation will never use this.

DM-33869 Support the Jupyter Notebook to Verify the New Rotator Trajectory
- Done
When we first talked about this I thought you were asking for a new simulation mode. I am much more uneasy about doing anything like this with the real rotator. If it is connected to the camera cable wrap then it could cause problems (though the emergency pull cord switches should prevent damage).
Te-Wei and I agreed to mark it invalid.
