Dominique Boutigny reports (and I have seen previously) that imChar can be extremely slow on some dataIds:

lsst.ctrl.mpexec.singleQuantumExecutor INFO: Execution of task 'characterizeImage' on quantum {instrument: 'LATISS', detector: 0, visit: 2021070700319, ...} took 1218.528 seconds

My theory is that the deblender is still on in the base config and that everything is being joined together by the spectra, and that's causing all sorts of problems, pr the measurement plugins really don't like running on objects with such strange shapes.

Hopefully a small config tweak or two can fix all of this.
