As has been pointed out by Andy Rasmussen on slack is that we may want different overscan options depending on the exact detector and amplifier. That is, some of the fancier approaches may only be necessary on some amplifiers on some detectors, while a simpler approach is appropriate for the majority of the amplifiers.

Therefore, it would be good to be able to configure either ISR or at least the overscan part of ISR to have different options depending on the detector/amplifier.
