Eric Coughlin added a comment - 04/Jul/22 4:44 PM Attempted install of Alma Linux 8 which was successful and then proceeded with installing a VM for NI Linux RT which would not boot. After attempting some debug steps and research on the model of CPU. I determined that the vt-x support was not available to the CPU running on the tower which meant that the kind of virtualization we wanted to do was not viable. This machine does not support UEFI booting either and so the NI OS cannot be installed on the bare metal either. I spoke with Te-Wei and we are moving forward with using another machine to run both VMs with the two necessary PCIe ethernet cards.
