      Description

      Support activities to develop an implementation to control the internal dome environment conditions during day and night time periods. The activities include the analysis of requirements, development of algorithms and control logic, selection of needed hardware, generate and assign contracts for work implementation and verify implementation.

          References to the work performed, to be found at https://confluence.lsstcorp.org/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=73574873 . The most important activities are:

          • Continue the search for vendors to implement the capabilities needed to have dome environment conditioning in the observatory. No new commitment for participation has been achieved. The main issue relates to the fact that no other company, besides the Ocontrols one, provides support in Chile for the hardware/software utilized in the control of Rubin HVAC equipment. Planning for alternatives are underway.

          It was pretty quiet this sprint with the summit being closed - not much happening on the HVAC front - no new vendors
