      Description

      Draft the idea of M2 mirror safety test. This task will just consider the minimum things we could do to ensure the mirror is safe when using the M2 cell control system. There is no intention to verify the LTS-107 (requirement document) since it is unpractical under this tight schedule (and we are replacing all the Harris software at this moment). Instead, this ticket is to consider a possible test plan and clarify the possible factors to do the judgement. This will consider the possible simulation test as well.

      Note. Based on Doug, people believe the M1M3 actual mirror should be safe because the related support system passed all the requirements.

      1. Compare the parameter files between the surrogate mirror and actual mirror.
      2. Force --> Step --> Displacement under 0-90 degree
      3. Check the AOS correction of M2 bending mode in um. Use the file of M2_1um_grid.yaml in ts_phosim.

            I think we should take it more serious to check the LUT parameters and hardpoint correction between the surrogate and mirror.

            After the testing with the M2 cRIO simulator, which has the full algorithm implemented, I think maybe the problem of M2 Python simulator comes from the simplified algorithm. In the all, it would be good to use the surrogate to do the test. There are four configuration files that we should compare first:

            Configurable_File_Description_20180831T091922_M2_optical.csv
            Configurable_File_Description_20180831T092326_M2_handling.csv
            Configurable_File_Description_20180831T092423_surrogate_optical.csv
            Configurable_File_Description_20180831T092556_surrogate_handling.csv
