    XMLWordPrintable

    Details

    • Epic Name:
      ICD flowdown to DMSR
    • Story Points:
      8
    • WBS:
      02C.02.02
    • Team:
      Architecture
    • Cycle:
      Extra 2016

      Description

This epic will result in a plan for how DM will manage the ICD requirements and their relationship to LSE-61 (DMSR). This plan should make it easier for authors of design documents to understand which requirements are relevant.

This work is being moved to X16 and will be addressed in the context of the working groups established in March 2016, and together with other work on the overall requirements flowdown for DM.

By "ICD" do we mean requirements flowdown from OSS and DPDD? Is this the same thing as I put in my DM-6180 epic or something different?

I'm still confused by this epic. Given this was assigned to a WBS and a cycle (X16) but is still open, does that mean that we showed variance on this? Was this epic meant to cover DPDD+OSS flowdown to DMSR or were there specific ICD documents that I'm meant to be looking at and incorporate into DMSR?

Also, Mario Juric is assigned to this epic but it's on team Architecture and not team Project Science.

I've removed Mario Juric from this ticket.

It seems like this ticket is related to linking DM requirements to ICDs so that we can add them to the verification matrix. The approach recommended by Kian-Tat Lim is to trace ICDs requirements to an LDM to simplify the layers of CCB approval (no reason to have to approve the same thing in two places).

We have traced ICD requirements to DM system components in LDM-148. This enables authors of component design documents to find all relevant requirements and replicate or refine them in their own requirements documents, if such requirements documents are present. Duplicating the requirements in the DMSR is unnecessary, and a separate comprehensive LDM-level requirements document is duplicative. All DMSR and ICD requirements should be tested in LDM-639.
