No need to do that now. Description doesn't exist anyway. To get the description from Atlas/Gator, Firefly would need to read in the ipac format and this is not done or agreed.
Walter plan to return votable so what would need to be done from the FF API is to read in the votable with a different search processor than the current one (id=IpacTableFromSource).

For now, i will hide the column if no description is available in xy plot column setting dialog (table component already hide the column).

I've hidden the description column in xy-plot selecting column dialog (same behavior as in table component) when no description available.
This is the case in Gator/Atlas, which both use upload table mechanism in the API. In OPS, before migration, no description is shown in the table/xy-plot component.

To test, upload any ipac table catalog, this is not getting any description from the ipac table header, so nothing should be shown.

Fixed.
