      Now that the rest of the stack works with python3 (particularly the obs packages), it's time to bring jointcal into the fold.

            Ian, do you mind doing a short python3 conversion review? Once this is done, I can go fully py3 all the time!

            Thanks for the quick review. I had to make a minor change to get it to actually work on py3 (jointcal doesn't jenkins at the moment), but it's all happy now, and said change is better anyway. Merged and done.
