Description

As part of the resolution of ~~DM-831~~, it was suggested that modern editors can be configured to automatically check syntactic aspects of the code and highlight violations of our coding standards. Prepare such configurations for common editors.

There's an “editors” section of the Developer Guide, which — at least in part — addresses the goals of this ticket. Given that, and given that the ticket is 5 years old, I suggest we can close it as “won't fix”. Kian-Tat Lim, do you agree?

As mentioned, the Editors section of the Dev Guide resolves this for three common editors.
