      Description

      This ticket is primarily intended to capture blockers for the final merge of the pybind11 branch to master. It also includes a bit of effort to account for the final round of rebasing and testing.

            Created pull requests on DM-8467 (the effective pybind11 master). These will still need the following work before merge:

            • Finish remaining porting tickets (blocking DM-7717)
            • Merge all cleanup changes
            • Apply pybind11 2.0.x fixes (DM-8888)
            • Final rebase on master (DM-9585)
            • Cleanup and squash commit series (this ticket)
            • Identify API changes (from tests) and write release notes (DM-9157)
