      Description

      Following DM-9045, which removes several old classes in meas_modelfit, we'll need to fix up some other classes they'd previously depended on, and in particular give them new unit tests or just remove them.

      This includes the AdaptiveImportanceSampler and Mixture classes.

             - Revive the bitrotted display utilities.

            I would be more inclined to just remove that code, as it now hasn't been used in several years and there are no plans to start using it.
