      Description

      On the following line: https://github.com/lsst/daf_persistence/blob/master/python/lsst/daf/persistence/butler.py#L691
      format is set to the value of key, if format is None, however key is not defined anywhere, leading to the queryMetadata method to fail with a NameError if a format is not provided.

            See DM-7156 where I reported this initially. (that ticket is marked as done but it was never fixed).
