      Description

Last week when Jacek Becla and I were at NCSA, Matias Carrasco Kind showed some neat work that they've been doing on the DES side of the shop. One is called easyaccess – an enhanced "SQL database client for astronomers" – and the other is the capability to run Jupyterhub running on Nebula (with all analysis software required by DES already preinstalled).

Matias kindly agreed to give a talk about it to the broader project, so I'd want to use this RFD to poll us for a good time. Right now, it looks like the next slot – March 22nd @ 12:30 PDT – is open. Let me know if that would work for you, to see if we'd have sufficient quorum to make it worthwhile.

Jonathan Sick, is there a preferred way to let everyone know about broadly interesting talks (i.e., on community?)

DM Notifications on Community works well for this. There is also the science@lists.lsst.org mailing list run by Lucianne W. that the Science community follows.
