This has been approved by Science Pipelines as part of DM-10732 and we now request formal approval by DMCCB.

Whilst LDM-562 is named "Level 2 System Requirements", the document and SysML model only includes the JointCal requirements.

Looks great, but there is one thing that I think we need to clarify.

Section 1.8 covers spatial variability of two types: fixed in time (filter variation) and per visit (cloud). Section 1.9 covers per-visit zero point variation. I think we need to add the statement to 1.8 that some of these spatially variable terms will have to be fit separately in each visit — exactly what we do in 1.8 and 1.9 can then be left up to the implementation.

So I'm happy to accept this RFC with the change to 1.8:

Specification: JointCal shall include photometric model components that vary smoothly over
either the full focal plane or individual devices and may be different for each visit.

(Robert Lupton and I discussed this in person, so I'm okay with this change as well).

I've made the change in the model and will upload the final version to DocuShare. Wil O'Mullane do you concur that we baseline this version?
